Some vignettes in our Home.....

The urn above was suppose to be a before and after photo I'd planned....only I was so excited to "transform" it ....I forgot the BEFORE picture....I found this at an antique store it was on sale ... only 4.00....it was from India not old at all but good lines....I wanted to paint it white anyway so the fact it wasn't old  didn't bother me.... I have it on the island in our kitchen...I love the way it looks...I put fruit in it ....and also some rag balls I made from  vintage dish towels that were disintegrating ...I love old textiles ... even if they have issues.... I just can't seem to let them go....someday I'd like to try my hand at braiding a rag rug.....these may be good to experiment on.

This old water pump is a great  backyard piece...we're still "pondering" how best to use it in our new house.


In our house. I have a passion for clocks too....If they have a sweet face ....unusual size or are unique in some way I almost never pass them up......oh the other thing is they need to be less then 10.00 . It's kind of a game I play when my sweetie and I are out and about...you can really find some treasures this way....AND...I enjoy them even more knowing I didn't pay too much for them.

This beautiful little cherub was my "Mommas"....
she is one of my prized possessions...she sits on top of our
fireplace mantle observing all the happenings in the house..

As you can see ....she has some issues with her knees....she
fell over one day and "cracked up".......but I don't care...she
is still beautiful to me..

The rest of these photos are some of my favorite "BITS AND PIECES"....I hope you had fun taking a peek around the house with me.....I'm warming up to my camera every time I use it....I feel a little intimidated by it for taking pictures of the rooms in our house....but that's what I'm working towards...I want to be happy with  them....so far they just aren't quite right in my eyes....SO ....I will keep working at it....when I get some I feel good about I will post them......Be well today girls....enjoy your day.......I will be thinking of you all.....hugs and blessings.....Karena
