Loving our Bird Friends

We went to Wal Mart yesterday to get a few things ......one of which was bird seed for our bird buddies....in our back yard we have 4 or 5 sets of Cardinal's.......Blue Jays .....and little yellow finch's that are so cute.....I am thankful to our heavenly father for the thoughtful powerful gift of "Birds".......the truth is I've learned.....MANY.....lessons from slowing down....being still.......to observe these precious creatures.......they are never worried about food, or shelter, or where they will rest their little heads at night .......they seem to have an internal.....PEACE......a ..........KNOWING PLACE...that they are connected to a powerful God.....the great "I AM".  I marvel at the songs of praise they share.....I can't think of any moment I enjoy more ...then the morning songs at break of day ....birds on the wing.....Their joyful flight stirring the air ...greeting the sun .....together in a heart felt .......PRAISE.....their songs blend .......softly filling my ears with the first hint that it's time to wake up........it is the favorite moment of the day for me.......before my eyes are even open I'm smiling at the gentle....cooing........falling on my heart before I'm fully awake........the word reminds us that the Lord knows every bird that fall's from the sky....(not sure which book it is ) .....surely he loves us so much more then the "feathered friends" ..........he pays such close attention to.......I pray today that this "BRILLIANT" truth washes over you......that as you walk out your day......moving from on task to another....when you see or hear a bird releasing their thanks in song........it will remind you that you are truly and miraculously loved....unconditionaly.......for all time.........thank you for stopping by girls........bless you ........Karena

Travel Mercies and other Blessings

I wanted to offer up a heart felt THANK YOU to my heavenly father for getting my sister
in-law here Tuesday safe and sound. Nancy arrived earlier then expected (always a treat)....they caught a tail wind......so we have been enjoying her for a few days now....this picture was taken with an android phone isn't it fabulous.....I love it....this is our back yard just as you step out the back door. I wanted to see if I could download this from Picasa......I am so so happy it worked.....we are going out to play now girls but I am so happy you stopped by.....I am believing that someday the Lord will bless me with a "PLUCKIE " Little List of Followers.......Praise him for what coming is my belief......have a wonderful day.....be blessed...I will share more tomorrow........toodles........Karena

Learning can be FUN.....

Good Day ladies.....I had a wonderful Mother's Day ......I hope you all did too....it is a busy day around here hubby and I are getting ready for my sister-in-law to arrive tomorrow morning from California. We are so excited to have her in our new house......to share this beautiful state with her.......anyway we are in full blown clean mode as we make sure everything is sparkly fresh.......pretty to look at......as well as soft and comfy to "REST IN".....we will have beautiful weather in the 70's all week ......perfect for lounging in the the back yard or drinking coffee on the front porch......(something I am passionate about)......first thing in the morning with a nice hot cup of..... SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE.....There's nothing better.....so for now I pray the Lord blesses each of you with a wonderful day........do something indulgent for yourself today........I will chat a little more later in the week.....tootles.......Karena

Don't you just love Target.....

This plastic tablecloth was perfect for our patio table

I wanted to talk to you all about this ADORABLE tablecloth I found at Target (Tar-jay) a week or so before Easter... they had this wonderful spring display with this "PATCHWORK" style collection of place mats table cloths all plastic washable colorful little gems of fabulous. Okay ya know how you see something and your heart stops....you walk up to the "thing" that is wowing you....and the next thought is ..."oh I hope it's not too expensive".....well girls when I found this... the first thing I did was walk up to it...stand in front of it........SMILE.....then picked it up to check the money factor.....ya know what......I squealed....quietly of course because I was after all in Target with LOTS of other people.....the price was ...$4.95.......wouldn't you squeal too.....of course you would....so with a joyful heart ....and lots of pictures in my minds eye of the PERFECT PLACE TO PUT IT......we went to the check-out....the little gal at the register said " where did you find this....I NEED IT.........we both laughed as I told her which department it was in ....then she asked me ........."But what aisle"???? The common thread of  joy we all share when we find that PERFECT something....is such a good thing........it just made me giggle to share that moment with a complete stranger. Playing in the Garden

These pictures are of our "Youngstown Kitchen" metal sink I wanted to share these  with you because sometimes the UNEXPECTED things we do in our garden or home are ....The ...things that make our space personal....we got this sink two or three years ago because I just FELL IN LOVE WITH IT......hubby didn't share the vision or enthusiasm I had for this piece........but when we moved he made sure to take special care when it went on the truck .........he put it next to the garage when we got here waiting for spring to create the vision I had for it. I have to say here that the day I found the Priscilla curtains in the attic and hung them in the garage.......which by the way is hubby's MAN CAVE.......I sort of waited to hear absolutely NO ......you can't hang those in my man cave........well he noticed the next day and said......"Oh you hung curtains huh? "..........I held my breath........Nothing more was said till after Easter he calmly explained "No man wants curtains in his space........my reply .........."BUT I LOVE THEM"... ....I want to say THANK YOU HONEY FOR BEING YOU........I APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF MY CURTAINS ........so now that I've explained my passion for Priscilla's ..........metal sinks....and my heart felt appreciation for my hubby ........I want to say this sink is so much fun I opened the left drawer and planted some mint ....Snap dragons.........Vinca...........and trailing ivy.....the birds love swooping over the drawer...landing on the sink to survey the yard for worms or seed ......it has provided a really great spot in the yard for conversation's ........questions .....it  inspires creativity........I hope you will  try something "Different" in your own space..........thank you so much for stopping by........God Bless you today..............Karena

Mother's Day is almost here

I am beyond blessed as a mother.....My daughter is my best friend the one person on earth that knows my heart. I can always count on her to make me smile make me laugh or help me heal a heart that has an "OWIE"......she has TAUGHT ME so much while sharing this life . She is brilliant with the written word .......is capable at everything she chooses to try. My baby girl has put herself through school  to become a Respiratory Therapist. I have learned how to set goals to keep trying for things I dream about to NEVER GIVE UP ......I know Mother's Day is a day set aside "SPECIAL"....for all of us to think of doing something for Mom.....but in all honesty my Mother's Day is like every other day during the year. You see my daughter lives EVERY DAY of the year making me FEEL like it's Mother's Day. I know you all cherish the faces of your "little angels" grown or small ... I could never put into words how amazing being a Mom is and continues to be.....it is truly the biggest GIFT the Lord gave women. I pray each of you WONDERFUL MOMS are spoiled......lavished with love......and that your heart's are blessed to overflowing on that special day.......a day set aside to ........CELEBRATE MOM......much love girls......Karena

The Royal Wedding.....

Yep.....I was up at 5:30 this morning to see what everyone is calling the "Wedding of The Century"....good morning girls. I have to say most of the time I don't get caught up in these kinds of events... BUT....I am a Princess Di fan....I miss her kindness on this earth her inner beauty was as stunning as her so admired outer beauty.  I couldn't ignore such a special day. I was a new bride when Diana got married to Williams father. I remember watching their wedding wondering when they had children what kind of world they would be coming up in...what kinds of changes would we all be experiencing I am sure that if Diana were here she would have been so proud today of her eldest son....every mother in the world can relate to that ......I took this picture off my TV...I hope it's not too grainy...Okay enough about the wedding. I do have a question for you all this morning..... as all of you first started blogging did you notice "followers" right away ??? I am so new to the blog world. I have been here two months now. I am still learning every day how to go about doing "buttons" "posts" and all the other apps available .......If any of you could give me some input I would REALLY APPRECIATE IT....I know the Lord has given me this blog for his purpose I love him so much....I want to have an open heart be brave and share some of the things I've experienced on my journey....things that may bless  as some of you have  experiences that may be similar to mine....I have been blessed so many times by so many of YOU......I'd like "A Loblolly Life" to be a part of that spiritual gift.......I pray blessings on you all today.......happy Friday.......hope your weekend is fabulous........Thank you for stopping by.......it means the world to me.
