Running....Believing.......Becoming.........

My daughter is a runner......she admits  "It's not an easy thing for her to do" ....but most everyday she makes time to get outside to run....to push herself in new ways....to work at mastering the ART of running....I am in awe of her commitment...and if I am honest I am learning from her example. I am not learning to run physically but I am just as committed to LIVING the life and PURPOSE I feel my heavenly father calling me to...sometimes we find ourselves in a spot in life that is totally unfamiliar....a place that... if we aren't careful will stop us dead in our tracks........and before we know it WE ARE STUCK...I have been going through a season like this....finding myself in situations that call me to OVERCOME what I see with my eyes....I need to look with my heart....The great horse Secretariat ran and won all three races back in the 70's....The Kentucky Derby.....Preakness....and Belmont......no one believed he or his owner....a woman named Penny could make anything GRAND of him.....but time and again they BOTH proved everyone wrong....Secretariat's win to this day hasn't been outdone.......I am trying to say that even when the odds are against us......we can BREAK OUT ..WIN......ACCOMPLISH.....and DEFY....even our own beliefs and limitations.......I will keep running my own race.....someday....in the Lord's timing.... I will hit the finish line with belief.....patience......and joy for the journey.......I so appreciate your stopping by.....it is healing to share these thoughts when they pop up.......you are all so special to me......blessings and hugs girls.......Karena

  1. Here's a comment for you, Honey. It is Wednesday AM and I am checking your blog as you asked me to do. I like what you said yesterday about running, using Amanda's example. She is doing something she does not like to do but I bet it get's easier each time she does it. I feel stuck some times - actually a lot of times - and the way I eventually get unstuck is to break the huge task down into smaller bites. After a few bites I am able to take another step or bite. I tell myself "I will only do this (small) part now", and when that is done I look back at the small accomplishment. Then, maybe, the next day I can take another small bite. Pretty soon by the end of the week the task is looking done. Your blog is a huge accomplishment and I know you are going to be successful with it! I love you! Your husband
